- Avoid smoking, alcohol, and caffeine while recovering from the surgery. These substances can increase postoperative discomfort.
- Avoid hard foods like nuts, popcorn, and ice cream for 24 hours after the procedure as doing so can irritate the wound site. Try to stick to soft foods for a few days, like ice cream, yogurt, or soup.
