If you need orthodontic care to straighten crooked teeth, Invisalign is a great option that many patients prefer over traditional braces. The average cost of Invisalign in Connecticut ranges from $3,000 to $7,000. Invisalign may be slightly more expensive than traditional metal braces, but the overall cost will depend on each patient’s unique needs.
If you are interested in Invisalign treatment to straighten your teeth and give you a beautiful smile, call our office today to schedule a consultation and discuss the cost of Invisalign.
Invisalign is a great orthodontic treatment option for those with mild to moderate misalignment. The severity of your misalignment will be a determining factor in how much your treatment costs. The more issues you need to correct, the longer your treatment will take, which will make it more expensive.
Depending on the specific orthodontic issues, patients may need additional treatment options before they begin their Invisalign treatment. If tooth extractions or deep dental cleanings are needed first, it will add to the overall cost of treatment.
Some patients also opt to have their teeth professionally whitened or contoured after Invisalign treatment as part of a full smile makeover. These procedures would be billed in addition to the cost of Invisalign.
The average treatment time for Invisalign is about a year, but some patients can finish their treatment in as little as six months, and others may need 18 months or more to achieve the straight smile they’re looking for. Treatment plans are specifically tailored to the needs of each patient, and the severity of the orthodontic issues will be a major determining factor in how long treatment will take.
The more complex the alignment issues, the more plastic aligner trays the patient will need. These removable aligners are switched out every two weeks or so, and the more trays the patient needs, the more expensive the treatment will be.
At Shoreline Dental Care, we offer a number of ways to cover the cost of orthodontic care.
If you have dental insurance, your plan may cover all or part of your orthodontic treatment. Each dental insurance plan is different, so you should check your policy to see what is covered. Most plans only cover orthodontic treatment once per patient, so if you’ve already had traditional braces in the past, your plan may not cover clear aligner treatment, too.
If you need to pay for your invisible aligners without insurance, we offer monthly payment plans to help break up the cost over time. Ask our staff about payment options when you come in for your initial visit.
HSAs and FSAs allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to help cover out-of-pocket costs for medical and dental expenses. These programs are usually set up through your employer, and you contribute a portion of your pay each pay period. You can then use the funds to help cover the cost of Invisalign.
If you would like to learn more about the cost of Invisalign and how orthodontic care can improve your smile, give us a call today to schedule a consultation. We will be happy to discuss your treatment goals and answer any questions you may have.
